Python/AI engineer

Our customer is an Inspection Company that provides Largest Banks in the U.S. with the business solution for facilitating inspections between banks, construction companies, inspectors and other 3rd-parties companies.The product is a software platform that enables users to maintain operations of core process, file management and reports automatisation within one system without storing and dividing loads of data on their PC or KPI. Through the inspections that are tracked in the application our platform allows stakeholders to review how the borrowed money is used, create all needed reports in the easiest way, and compare budgets for best investment.

Requirements:‍

● 3+ years of commercial experience as a Python developer
● strong experience with Django / DRF or FastAPI in production
● hands-on experience integrating LLM providers (AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, or Anthropic Claude) in production systems
● experience building AI-powered features: prompt engineering, multi-turn conversations, structured outputs
● familiarity with RAG pipelines: chunking strategies, embeddings, vector storage
● experience with OCR tools (Tesseract, AWS Textract, or LLM Vision)
● experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, background task orchestration
● understanding of REST API design and WebSocket communication
● english level: Upper Intermediate
● ability to communicate directly with the client and stakeholders in English — explaining technical decisions in a clear, non-technical way

Would be a plus:‍

● experience with multi-model routing and cost optimization strategies
● familiarity with agentic workflows and function calling / tool use
● basic frontend experience with React or another SPA framework

Responsibilities:‍

● build and maintain AI-powered features within an existing production system
● design and implement prompt strategies, multi-turn conversation flows, and structured output controls
● develop and optimize RAG pipelines for document-based search and intelligence
● integrate and orchestrate OCR and document processing pipelines
● work with AWS Bedrock and multiple LLM models; contribute to model selection decisions
● implement real-time AI interactions via streaming and WebSockets
● develop and maintain backend services and APIs for AI features
● collaborate with the product team and Subject Matter Expert to deliver user-facing AI experiences
● contribute to architecture decisions for scalable and maintainable AI systems
