Client’s brief
- Create several Apps to help companies to recruit globally
- Find the way to control the time difference in different regions
- Ease the global employment process: calculate risks, taxes, provide access to proper information
- Improve visibility of the client's platform
Challenges
The client's idea was to facilitate the hiring and paying processes for employees around the world for companies.
The inconveniences of the time difference in the global hiring process.
An unexpected increase in the budget due to changing the cooperation form from contractors to full-time employees.
Risks of Global hiring due to multiple laws, regulations, and taxes in different countries.
During the development process, we implemented the following solutions:
Integrating micro-frontend methodology into a web-flow based App using iframes with a communication channel that provides a seamless experience;
It allowed us to expand the possibilities of Webflow by bypassing its limitations and maintaining its convenience as a site builder. We also created the iframe-based communication channel that provides seamless UX.
Flexible visualization of the time zones
We used the world map spitted by time zones, which allows for calculating TZ relations and overlaps in the context of the user's TZ lightly. It eased the App's navigation and made choosing a country more convenient.
Quick iteration using low-code tools for creating POC
Using the Airtable, Netlify, Amplitude, Supabase, and Excel sheets allowed us to reduce the development process (including proving the ideas) and time to market.
Results
1. TimeZone Crossover Calculator
The App supports recruiters in identifying the most convenient area for hire.
Based on the needed time overlap, a user can specify spaces where to search for candidates and the time difference to schedule calls.
The App also provides info about the costs of employment in the region and the hiring guide.
2. Employee Misclassification Analyzer
The App allows users to calculate the risks of converting contractors into full-time employees.
Based on the employee’s location, involvement, type of work, responsibilities, and qualifications, the app calculates the level of risk of hiring the person and guides how to proceed with it.
3. Contractor Conversion Tool
The App calculates the cost of the conversion of cooperation type based on the location, tax system, type of work, and candidate involvement.
The user can check the candidates individually by uploading data files and comparing those at once.
The user can also download the report with all the calculations and cost results.
